I feel bad for Criston.
The guy faithfully served both of them, but one put him at risk of being castrated/killed/sent to the Wall just because she was horny, while the other signed his death warrant and had the nerve to hide behind "fear" for him (and Gwayne) by forging a letter because she desperately wants to save her own ass from the consequences of her actions (but since he's one of those who "took her way" by not letting her play regent, I guess it's fine).
I don't share the opinion that he was truly in love with either of them, but if he was, that makes the situation even sadder.
"She saved my life" - dude, in that exact same episode, she revealed your location when nobody asked her.
p.s. wonder, if he'll ever learn about Alicent betraying her sons and team, or if he's more likely to die completely clueless like Otto?
