pros/cons to private boat transfer (vs ferry)

Hi! Island hopping in June for the first time (Dubrovnik to Korčula; Korčula to Brač; Brač to Split). Will take ferries, but contemplating splurging and hiring a private boat for one of the legs, which would include scenery and a stop to swim, and I have gotten quotes for this. However, I am worried about (1) sea sickness and (2) weather issues.

Does anyone have experience hiring a private boat like this, and if so, can you share feedback? Our family has been in some pretty rough water on previous trips are are usually OK, but these have been on larger vessels. Curious how worried we should be in this area of the Adriatic Sea. I am also worried if there is adverse weather, a charter would be more likely to be canceled than a ferry, and we could risk not getting to our next hotel/forfeiting the hotel deposit (assuming ferries could book out in June).

At the same time, it sounds like a special fund adventure and a memorable day should all go OK, and I don't want to let my worries cause us to miss out unnecessarily. Kids are 7 and 9. Would love to hear thoughts, thank you!

subtle "grinding" noise when I move my neck post ACDR surgery

I am five months post op from C5-C7 ADR surgery. My recovery has been slow but steady, constantly improving until a few weeks ago, when I started having really significant new trap and neck pain that feels muscular, versus nerve-related.

Around that same time, I noticed that when I rotate to turn my head side to side or in a circle, I hear a subtle grinding-like sound. It is hard to describe this sound because I feel like I am hearing it from the inside, which I know sounds weird, but it doesn't sound like bones scraping together; rather, it's softer, almost fluid-like. It is subtle, but it now happens every time I move my neck.

I was due for my six-month post-op X-ray and exam next month, but I called to check in with my doctor's office about these new symptoms, and they have moved it up. That appointment is still a few weeks away, and I realized today I am feeling quite anxious about it now. Has anyone else experienced this symptom, and if so, did it go away or stick around? Was it a sign something was wrong? Thank you!
