It'll be my first time cliff jumping in San Diego, probably at The Clam in La Jolla or Sunset Cliffs (Other suggestions are welcome!) but I wanted to know how to know whether its a safe time to jump or not?
What forecasts should I read? What should I see if snorkel the water before jumping in? How to time the jump with the swell or whatever? Other things I haven't thought of?

The drone show at La Jolla Shores is the one we really want to catch, but we heard that Mt. Soledad lets you see Big Bay Boom too since it's so high up.
Is the Boom actually visible or not? How is the view of the Drone Show from Mt. Soledad compared to La Jolla Shores?
Also if anyone's watched from Soledad before, where do you actually park and stand? Heard La Pintura Dr is the spot but not sure.
Open to other ideas too. Thanks!
