Oddworld Proposes #3

Another improvement proposal I have is the return of quicksave. Many players found Soulstorm challenging due to the lack of a quicksave feature, but since the game was designed around that limitation, adding it back could make it too easy.

That's why I proposed a compromise: Limited Quicksave.

This would improve:

- The strategic depth and challenge of each level

- Reduce frustration in certain sections

- Make the gameplay feel more dynamic

All the details are explained in the post above. As always, the discussion is open, and since this is only a proposal, it can and should be refined with your suggestions and feedback.

Let me know what you think!

Oddworld Proposes #2

Second proposal post with gameplay ideas this one is definitely a bit more controversial.

Taking advantage of Lorne's interest in experimentation, including with online features, I think an additional multiplayer content pack (DLC) could be a great idea.

--------- Structure: -----------

Maximum of 3 players (playing as Mudokons)

Example objectives:

Destroy the generator

Pull all the levers

Eliminate all Slig sentries

Camera system: Each player has their own camera, with on-screen indicators showing the positions of the other players on the map.

Online only, no local co-op. A shared-screen setup could become frustrating and cluttered.

ADVANTAGES:

Community growth

Increased replayability (it can be played over and over with friends)

Opportunity to introduce Oddworld to new players.

Oddworld Proposes #1

I know very well that not everyone will agree with this topic. I made this post as the beginning of a series of proposals, also to see the fans' reaction (I shared it on the Instagram page as well).

A comic book set in Oddworld... Why make one?

In addition to the reasons already mentioned in the post, it's worth noting that fans are concerned about the future of the series after Soulstorm (and it pains me to say it) was not received as positively as its predecessors by a portion of the audience. Illustrated books could be an EXCELLENT alternative for continuing certain stories that might not work as well in video game form.

This does not mean that OWI should abandon the gaming world, but rather EXPAND it. Oddworld has immense potential. For example, with the Star Wars franchise, we have received films, TV series, animated series, and even comic books. Oddworld has the potential to tell stories through comics and illustrated books thanks to the team's incredible talent in graphics and artwork.

It could even help boost sales in a different way before returning to work on video game projects for the most important parts of the Quintology, such as the conclusion of Abe's story, Munch's story, a brand-new standalone chapter, or something else entirely.

In short, illustrated books are, in my opinion, an excellent alternative for:

The development team

The series

And the community.
