Nine was quite strict when it came to the rules and didn't get attached enough to Adam to give him a second chance but what Adam did was very serious. Which doctors would have acted the same as Nine in the same situation and which ones would have been more lenient? Would any have been harsher than Nine?
As I see it our options are:
Say that Imu isn't a swordsman because he doesn't primarily fight with a sword. This argument is fine but will obviously lead to other characters also not being swordsmen despite using swords so it's not ideal for Mihawk agenda.
We say that Imu is an exception to the WSS title because he is not a part of "the world" as the holy land is not part of the world, the celestial dragons consider the holy land and the lower realm to be completely different places after all. However, this would also apply to the swordsmen in the gorosei and god's knights. This argument feels like a bit of a cop-out but if it ties back to Zoro's name as a great swordsman reaching the heavens it makes sense if Zoro surpasses Imu though this seems unlikely at the moment. This argument also allows Whitebeard's title of WSM to not be invalidated (and Kaido's I guess).
We can say that Imu doesn't count because he's not a known figure but this would make Mihawk's title simply wrong.
We can say that the WSS title only applies to mortals and not to gods but this seems rather arbitrary. Once again though this helps Whitebeard and Kaido agendas as well.
We say that Mihawk's title is incorrect as Imu is stronger. This would mean though that other characters like Shanks can be stronger swordsmen than Mihawk.
Edit: I meant to add this originally but I forgot. We say that Mihawk is actually stronger than Imu is. Loki fought fairly well despite needing months to recover still and not using his hybrid form. Loki may very well be weaker than Shanks and Mihawk should be stronger than Shanks because of title scaling. This gives us enough wriggle room to argue Mihawk is stronger. It may seem ridiculous now but it is possible especially if Blackbeard is the real final villain but it's not a hill I would like to die on right now.
Is there anything I'm missing?
If Satori was introduced today people would think he has future sight and not standard observation.
Scenario 1: He can't get stronger in the fight
Scenario 2: He can get stronger in the fight
What diff does Garp beat Roger? Or does fighting differently hinder them both equally enough that it's still a draw?
