Upgrading my Vantage V

Ever since I’m into sports I was using a Polar device. My last update was from the V800 to the Vantage V. Even though the Vantage V is still doing a great job, I will need to update to a newer model.

Lately I was having a higher blood pressure and also some changes in heart rhythm. Thus my doctor suggested wearing a device which can detect atrial fibrillation (AFib). To my knowledge the Apple Watch is the only one, that detects AFib in the background. Garmin and Polar “only” have an ECG function. The one from Garmin is certified as a health product the one from Polar is not certified.

I don’t want smart notifications and I don’t want to charge my watch every day. So I’m more looking for
Garmin and Polar instead of Apple.

Has anyone some experience with the ECG feature from Garmin and Polar? How do they compare? And do you think waiting for Vantage V4 would make sense (I hope they will release the next one in October).
