Are we buying retail products online from big box stores or from the supply stores??

So I’ve recently run into an issue. A client of mine requested a specific product and I told her I would order it for her since it’s something I don’t typically carry. From our professional supplier, the product is just under $19 our cost. I happened to look it up on Amazon and Amazon is selling the same product in the same size for less than $17. Typically when we buy things from our suppliers, it is “at cost“ and the markup is 100%. That would mean I should sell this product to my client for just under $40. Am I the only stylist having an issue with this situation? I have a hard time charging my client almost $40 for the same product that she could very easily order off of Amazon for less than half.

People who walk 3-4 people wide down a sidewalk/hallway/walkway/etc.

I flew this past weekend to visit a friend. I was dumbfounded at the number of people in the airport who walked in the middle of the walkway or walked multiple people wide blocking others from getting around.

So I’ve been doing hair for almost 30yrs. I’ve worked hard to build a steady clientele and am fully booked. My husband has always carried amazing insurance for our family, but now that our kids are grown and moving out, we’ve talked about him quitting his full time job and doing something else/becoming self employed. We’ve been great at saving for retirement, building a savings account, and contributing to investments but I’m wondering what everyone does for insurance??
