posting on here because i think i would rather talk to strangers rn than my parents as they dont really take pet grievance seriously. they can try to empathize but they expect me to get over it quickly.
i had a 1 month old kitten who i took care of and spent a lot of my time with. the thought of coming back home to him would make me really happy.
for context: we live on the second floor in our 2 story house and we would leave him and his mom overnight in our stairway, they had their own bed and they would just sleep there, they wouldnt really go anywhere outside their bed until last night, this morning i woke up to find him lying passed away on the ground floor and i dont know just how much his mom understands what happened.
i feel an overwhelming feeling of guilt and sadness in my chest that i just dont know what to do with it. realizing that now everyday i wake up he wont be here anymore. he was my routine, and at some point my parents were warming up to him i was hoping we would keep him as a house cat. it hurts so much. im sorry if this doesnt sound coherent.
