What's a good 101 video on youtube that will help bring a non developer up to speed with the process?

Looking for a nice 10 minute or less explainer that ya'll find valuable.

Of all the things that generally happen during the development phase (build, develop, package, test, deploy).

Things that cover when are pipelines created, how to manage deployments that are in runtime enviornments, etc. Just a nice linear explainer that a 12 year old would understand would be awesome.

Not able to Hire After Firing?

Before store openining, I just fired an employee because I saw someone come up in the applicants folder that I wanted.

No hiring button is available. Do I have to wait a day?

I really don't want to play the game if I'm unable to hire an employee any more. Waiting another day sucks because the new pool of employees will change and I'll have to wait several more days again for another good one to pop up. What am I supposed to do, fire the night before and chance it the next day, or is this really a bug?

Tried to reinstall and it didn't help.

First time tiling: part 2

Yall asked me to post an update.

Having a dark brown silicone between two white surfaces is the hardest part. Takes serious detail.

I got the skinny leg done.

Usually I will fill, then wipe out. Then walk away, then wipe one surface. Then walk away.

Hope it looks good for a first timer.

Rate my first tile job (grouting tomorrow)

Wife of course had to pick difficult tile for a beginner.

I’m tired.

I used a grinder w/cutting wheel to cut the aluminum trim, then filed the edges to remove burs. I actually then learned that a bench grinder can really do well.

Used pennies to space backsplash off countertop. Countertop isnt perfectly level so went with 1/16 all the way to about 1/8 on one side.

This was about 30% planning, 30% cutting and prep, then 40% laying and being finicky.

Went with pre mix mastic and glad I did because I was slow and still had finish pieces to do.

I found that a wet saw chipped this tile every single time. Neighbors blade may be bad? A manual cutter did pretty good (see first pic) and did most of the job.

Apparently a 30 year master tiler at Lowe’s told me the manual cutter wouldn’t work at all and I’m better off using a grinder with a diamond blade (which I have) and having someone spray water on it. For every cut. He was wrong.

Short backsplash estimates for what I need

Simple question! I'm tiling a backsplash of 8" x 100" area. No outlets or obstructions; it's as easy as it gets! The actual square foot is 5.5 sq ft.

Most tile sheets are like 11-12" tall and like 10" wide or whatever.

Using this as example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Daltile-Maisto-Safari-Calacatta-10-in-x-12-in-Matte-Ceramic-Hexagon-Mosaic-Tile-0-81-sq-ft-Each-MA5015HEXHDMT/333869632#see-more-details

It feels weird going by square feet, because that means I would need 7 sheets. Since each sheet is 10" wide, that means I'm going to have to peice together stuff.

Would it be easier to just go by length? I need 100" of a run, and if it's sheet is 10" wide, that would mean 10 sheets. I'll have more left over, but it seems like this would be the easier option.

I'm planning to use mastic as this seems like a good opportunity for pre-mix.
