So I just bought the box set and saw that it had the 3d version of Freddy's dead. I popped it in and its definitely not 3d. Am I missing something here?
I made a few posts about this already showing my progress on my plastic Rubie’s Freddy glove that I rehauled and asked for recommendations on any improvements or changes I should make. Since my last post, I touched up the paint a little and fixed the welding marks near the blades (I put hot glue on it and then painted it dark silver when it dried). Any other suggestions or tips I can add to make it better? Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!
Haven’t watched these in too long so watching all the Freddy movies tonight
I like dream child better.
Tomorrow i plan to watch the final 2 Freddy movies and then I will be on to Friday the 13th, my third franchise ranking.
The top 4 have stayed the same, and I think some may disagree with where I currently have the 3 movies at the bottom. New Nightmare/Freddys Dead might end up being my hot takes of this franchise.
I feel like when I rank the nightmare movies these two always are on the same level and I have a hard time deciding which one I like more so u would like to hear your thoughts on these two and which one you prefer
The top 3 are all Really good. 4-7 are good but flawed. Bottom 2 are mediocre
A few notes:
I like two a lot. I knew about the gay allegory stuff ahead of time, which definitely makes the story more interesting, but I had no idea it was going to be so funny. Jessie is a great protagonist.
I don't really like Nancy as a protagonist, so Nightmare 1 and New Nightmare are lower on my ranking. She's actually my least favourite part of Dream Warriors, although that is my favourite overall.
New Nightmare is the worst one for me. It's both boring and lame but even worse it's pretending to be about something when I really don't think it's saying anything interesting at all. Freddy's Dead isn't trying to say anything but there are a few good laughs in that one.
Freddy vs. Jason was amazing. A genuinely solid entry in the series as it follows the Nightmare formula and adds a few new ideas that I liked, such as the adults in town trying to exorcise Freddy from memory. They also used a lot of Dream Warriors canon which I appreciated.
I don't love Alice as protagonist but I can respect 4 and 5 for trying to keep a canon going - even if they do kill off my beloved Dream Warriors too early. The movie theatre sequence in 4 is an amazing scene and that movie would be higher if the cast was more interesting...every scene with Dan is like watching white bread try to act.
Something I've always wondered, at what point did people start to turn around on Freedy's Revenge?
I remember a time when Part 2 was the one movie in the series that not a lot of people would talk about, especially not in a favorable light. Like it was the "bastard stepchild" of the series that no one liked, so when did people start to change their minds about it and say that it wasn't as bad as it's been mentioned to be?
