Daily IB Trivia #326: It's also speculated by Isa that the Aegis forms were put in place to the give Deathless the best possible chance of crushing resistance, as obvoisuly a Deathless had a significant advantage in a 1:1 dual. Imo it's a mix of both, + some other stuff I didn't mention

Daily IB Trivia #324: to elaborate on this further, their talk before this was when the rebellion was wiped out, and Siris was very distraught, and blamed himself for what happened. I think it was only than, that Raidriar finally saw Siris as a different person from Ausar, and respected him
