It happens a lot in online games and its annoying every time. I have an account name which has to be different from everyone else so just let me name my character what I want. Does it matter if there are 50 people running around with the same character name if each has a different account name? What's the point of letting us name our character if we can't actually choose the name we want, single player games ftw I guess.

Honestly not sure this is the best sub for this so feel free to suggest a different one if you feel it fits better.

If characters from different video games were placed into a shared world where each retained the mechanics of their own games, would scripted gameplay events and cutscene-only abilities still occur?

For example, if a characters death in their game triggers a cutscene in which other another character from that game dies, would that event still trigger in the new world despite no other factors besides the character dying lining up?

Occasionally I'll see a survey and do them but its kind of annoying when the first question is "Which of these products have you heard of?" and then I click none of them followed by them asking me questions about the products I've never heard of.
