I had my car in for a service today, and I requested castol oil 5w40. The only issue is that as I’ve reviewed the bottle I’ve noticed the code is VW 511 00 instead of 502 00.

They used castrol edge 5w40 as requested but they used the m version instead of the a3/b4 version.

My real question is, what are the risks of running this oil for 5-6k miles before doing a fresh oil change? Id it going to be safe? Its also going into winter. My tt is also only at 50.7 miles.
