As the title says. Does anyone know a great place to get connected with private landlords? I am looking to rent with a budget of 1300 a month in the Savannah Area. I currently live about 30 mins from Savannah so my search area is Savannah and an hour distance from it as my two jobs are within 30 mins of each. If I am explaining my situation right.
I am a single person so I'm looking for affordable housing for just myself. No pets with me and no guests coming in and out of the dwelling.
I had a degree in criminal Justice because I wanted to try law school afterwards. I am still working towards that goal. I did get into law school but flunked out after a year. But that goal.jusg moved back so I'm trying to find something to put my skills to some use while I study back for the LSAT.
I have applied for internships and small desk jobs in my area up to an hour away from where I live. Nothing has been hitting. Still at my cashier job and starting a new second job next week that also isnt permanent. It's on an army base. My stepsister also worked this job and they don't give reliable hours from what she said.

I apply to about 20 jobs every few days from Indeed, Linkedin, zip, USAjobs.gov, and my local government job site for the county I live in and the next closest two.

I am trying to get back into shape cuz my next step would trying for Police, Customs, ICE, etc. but it's been hard to find anyone who would call me back in the mean time.

I only gotten less than 10.intweviews even while in school. And about 5 since out of school. I've been ghosted, left on read with email/phone inquiries about my applications. I have rewritten my resume about 20 different times. Written cover letters for each one even if it's not required. It's been a depressing journey. Even finding a job at a big box store with my cashiering skills has been hard. The local Costco isn't hiring and said it would be a while til they were looking for someone with my skill set.

Any advice on what to do. I'm honestly lost on what to do. My dad's advice is to call them back when they said no and ask why. Most don't post an hr number/email in the ad. And these law firms don't have a number that is just for job seekers. I have called a few on the phone that had a number and didn't go anywhere. And showing up in person has gotten me a "I like that let's talk for a few" and then nothing afterwards.

The only thing keeping me in the area I am in is lack of funds and resources as a single person.

Any advice on what to do to maybe at least get to an interview with someone.
