Lost Dog
hey everyone my dog escaped last night during the fire works around 22:00. She was last seen around waters ave around Wangs II enmarket area. We’ve posted on Facebook lost and found as well as the neighborhood sites, hung fliers and gotten TRAPS on the hunt as well. just thought team Reddit may be able to help as well. Her name is Zhu. She is tall and sweet probably scared. If you find her my info is on her collar and she is microchipped. Be on the look out please. We have scoured waters ave, Kensington park, skidaway road and mall blvd. She is very treat motivated if you see her.
I want to eat a LOT of oysters.
I’ve seen a couple of places offer some good happy hour specials for oysters but I’m wondering who has the best.
Hypothetically, if I were trying to eat an absurd amount of oysters, where should I go?
Are you visiting from the UK?
And is your name Alex? And did you lose your wallet in downtown savannah? We found it on the street. Message me.
Yes I tried to find the person on social media.
Any family friendly Spots to Watch US World Cup Match Monday Night w/Kids?
Going to have kids around 9/10 and 15/16 with our party. Anywhere in town is fine, but especially historic district adjacent would be helpful if anyplace family friendly exists. Kids have seen watch parties on TV coverage and keep saying it would be cool to watch the match someplace with other fans.
Are there any restaurants that do gluten free fried seafood?
Tried looking through the wiki and gluten free threads I came across. Appreciate any leads! Thank you.
Local Credit Unions?
Hi y'all! I recently got an apartment in SAV, and I'm looking to open up an account with a local bank in the area. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I've heard not-great reviews of First Chatham Bank, and really mixed ones about the Georgia Heritage Foundation- so I'm not really sure what to go with? The credit union I currently use is awesome, but all their branches are back in Virginia so I'm hoping to find somewhere I can go to physically for deposits, etc. I'm in the downtown area :)
Best Trivia Spots
Alright, what are the best trivia spots in town: good questions, good host, it’s not an enormous crowd…
And what days are these trivia’s? 👀
Who was playing at Honky on July 4th?
Hi all!
We were at Honky Tonk South last night for the Fourth of July, and I cannot for the life of me find the name of the band. They sounded great and were playing a really good selection of songs. If anyone knows who they were I would appreciate it!
Any “hidden” spots on the rivers/creeks?
Lookin for any hidden and/or relatively unknown spots on the inland creeks & rivers where I can just park, set up a chair in the sand, and chill for a bit. Tybee is a little too crowded for me this time of year but I still wanna go chill in the water. Preferably 30-45 minutes from HAAF max.

Answering Landlord and Rental Questions
Happy 4th Everyone!
TLDR: I'll answer general (non-lawyer) questions regarding property management in Savannah and maybe this can become the long post that we can direct posters to when they post the same questions every month.
Detail:
I have a bit of a wild hair as todays going to be the day that a solid 1/5 of the tenants I manage cause fire damage to the property and then have no idea how those scorch marks in long black trails happened all over that freshly painted porch.
Let's talk about property management in Savannah. I'd like to make a series of edits here with useful comments and questions (like my yearly rent PSA) so that we can direct the same monthly questions about rentals in Savannah here. Less the "What's rent cost?" and more "Do I really have to steam the carpets?"
Many of you have seen me posting for years, especially with my yearly PSA's regarding rental costs in the area and what we can do to get rent costs down. I don't hide my post history, regardless of the folks who chase me around in necro threads, so take a look at my post history on advocacy for tenants rights and increased housing supply.
I also know that to some people absolutely none of that matters and I'm going to get absolutely brigaded for being a terrible no good evil horrible person for daring to facilitate people into well maintained properties (especially the homeless and our veteran and domestic violence suffering populations). I get it that everyone hates landlords on reddit.
Still, maybe we can get enough traction that we can turn this into a useful post that will have good long-term information in it from the questions of the community and it can work as a repository for referring new renters or renters experiencing a (to them) novel problem.
I also encourage other PMs to join in with useful info (but you can use throwaways. No reason to suffer on my account).
EDIT1: Just so everyone knows, I'm going to absolutely try to take any question in good faith, even if it's seemingly provocative. Please extend me the same courtesy at least in this post.
