First time camping with a miata

Its a rental, first time driving a miata and using one to camp. I’m used to having a lot more space using vans or suvs, but it was a good price and my girl was surprisingly ok with it. Going into it I already knew we were going to have to make some sacrifices, but honestly the trunk is way bigger than I expected, its just weirdly shaped, so after watching some videos and stalking this sub, I learned how to pack it up. We had some stuff on our lap, but it was pretty comfy, all things considered. 2 hr trip to Arrowhead provincial park, 3 days, 2 nights and spending another week driving all around as well. I still have a hard time imagining people 6’ or taller owning these cars, we aren’t even that big and it is a bit cramped, lots of leg room though. We did have a trunk rack suction cup mount but only 1 of the 3 suction mounts worked, so decided not to risk using it since on the drive to pick up all our camping stuff 2 of the 3 suction mounts disengaged without anything on the rack, which prevented us from storing even more stuff we had planned and comfort wise.
