I have an 18 year old client who is quite independent with level 1 autism. She has a long service action plan, but quite confident she doesn't need my assistance for much of it. I wonder.. why wouldn't the parents involve her in creating the service action plan? And why is it that she was not involved in creating a schedule? The parents request 20 hours per week. My client thinks its too much and after the third session of cancelling, I requested we sit down to update the schedule that was manageable for her. From 20 hours, it went down to 7.5 hours per week. I'm fine with this, but is this common?
