Visiting Lexington because of my family’s history here

Hey everyone,
I came to Lexington for Fourth of July weekend. My parents used to live here in the 90s, and they owned a Mexican restaurant called Toño’s. I wanted to visit the city they loved and get a better feeling for it myself.
So far, it’s been great. People have been kind, and I can see why my parents had such good memories here.
I’d love to come back again, so I wanted to ask locals: what are the best months to visit Lexington? Are there any local events, festivals, holidays, or traditions worth planning a trip around?
I’m open to any suggestions: food, bars, neighborhoods, live music, local spots, historical places—anything that gives a real feel for the city.
Also, I’m traveling solo, so I’d appreciate recommendations for good social spots too. Places with a fun crowd, live music, dancing, or anywhere that’s easy to meet people without it feeling forced.
Thanks in advance.
