I have encountered this poor guy three times months ago before they were finally caught and taken in for treatment. I can’t even imagine the suffering they went through with whatever that thing is on their face, I thought for sure that it would be the end of them.
Does anyone even know what it is anyways? It looks like an external tumor to me…
In my fanfiction that is currently being adapted into my comic, there are certain sparrow clan cultists that may be seen as controversial. Those being s****** bombers. >!The way they function is first they ignite themselves on fire using road flares, then they sprint towards the target and detonate themselves when close enough.!<
There will be no graphic depictions of the actual explosions or the aftermath of it, but I am more concerned as to whether or not it is morally appropriate to add them in the first place. While I am tempted to add them, I do not wish to make the readers uncomfortable either, hence why I decided to create a poll here and hear your thoughts about it before I make the decision to add them.
Shortly after Amaterasu set sail to the Celestial Plain, the mortal world had entered into a state of peace for a number of years. However, as time passed and society became more advanced, instability grew among the populace over the centuries.
One such group of mortals heavily impacted by the changes was the Sparrow Clan, who became further isolated from humankind as conflicts of interest grew between the two species. On one fateful day, when the Emperor of Eternal Darkness had been revived, the Clan used this opportunity to lash out against man. Enacting brutal acts of terror against the populace.
The Clan, now led by their beloved Patriarch and allied with the Dark Lord, ruled the nearby lands under darkness' command. Yet the Clan's belief in the goddess remained strong, but instead of viewing her as a savior, she had become their arch-enemy. Moreover, they anticipated the Prophecy whereby the second coming of Amaterasu shall bring about an event simply known as Judgement Day.
The Patriarch spent years leading and training his warrior monks to avert such foretold catastrophe, yet if on the day they come face-to-face, he intends on presenting the goddess with one final test. Does she have what it takes to slay a mortal?
This is a remake/remaster of my original 'It Takes Two to Tango' piece, which I wasn't quite satisfied with. The main differences here is that Ammy is her wolf-self and added a more detailed background among other things. This is also concept art for the comic as opposed to my fanfic.
Art is by drawing_sofa.
Suppose the JSDF encounters an entity or a force (a deity, creature, sorcerer, etc.) in the Special Region which simply could not be beaten with conventional weaponry and the they start taking heavy losses. Let us also say that the opposing force is heading towards the Gate and is threatening to breach through it to Earth.
We can assume that the Japanese government would deploy the latest conventional weaponry into the region with reinforcements, and perhaps also ask allies to intervene. But, what if these efforts fail?
What would it take for the Japanese government to request and use a weapon of mass destruction (chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear) to neutralize the threat? What would the formal process of acquiring a WMD realistically look like and is this option even a viable one from both a practical and moral standpoint?
I am simply one of those people that have lost the coin toss at birth, meaning I have a shit load of issues in my head. Because of this, my social skills aren’t exactly the best, which will inevitably fail me during interviews (if I even get one).
In this market, I fear that I and countless others are outmatched by those with excellent skills and professional experience, especially if they have been laid off and are trying to make ends meet themselves. And quite frankly, why should companies hire people like us when there are many better alternatives for them?
I’ve already accepted the fact that I may never get my dream job, despite my education and some experience. I feel like this makes me useless and a burden to society. Even with full support from family, friends, and even social services, I’m still not getting anywhere at the moment, and time is running out as well.
Started applying to jobs recently for the first time and I’ve talked to a couple of people who are experienced in my field (IT/Cybersecurity) and we tried to run through mock interviews.
The outcome turned out to be worse than I thought. I literally couldn’t answer questions from my own resume due to either anxiety, bad memory, or something that I hadn’t learned yet. I only have two years of internship ‘experience’ and it wasn’t that educational if I’m to be honest.
I feel quite bad and like a failure, not sure how to proceed besides consulting with AI as the prognosis for me does not look good, especially in today’s job market.
Started job hunting recently for the first time after I graduated, got some certs, and finished my unpaid internship. That wasn’t until I talked to a couple people who are experienced in my field (IT/Cybersecurity) and we did mock interviews, I realized something really bad about me.
I simply could not answer the questions properly, either from anxiety, foggy memory, or something outside my knowledge. My ‘internship’ after all was at a family friend’s computer shop where the experience wasn’t honestly that great or worthwhile. Yet they asked questions based on what I put in my resume, which I did exaggerate a bit as I was told to do so and probably why I didn’t answer that well on some subjects. With that in mind, I probably won’t last in an actual interview, yet alone get one.
The job market for that field is bad enough, so how should I expect to even make any gains or additional experience? It certainly makes me feel like a failure and a parasite (since I have SSDI) on this rock. My future looks bleak, uncertain, and I don’t know how to find the path to resolve it.
