Is this a bad joke?

Not sure if the "help" tag is the right one because there is no help for predatory scummy behavior.

Are the new limits a bad joke? I can't even upload a 2.7 MB screenshot without requiring the 167$ max subscription? Like are they insane now?

First they trash away Pro for free, then they change Pro to be the new free tier with slappy ass limitations.

I'm so glad that I decided setting up a local agent so I can break free from these money milking companies. If you have the hardware, you totally should aswell.

Is it possible to passthrough my Ryzen 7 9700x AMD iGPU?

Hey there.

I'm brand new to Hyper-V. In fact I didn't even install it yet, but I'm planning to do it. From what I read there doesn't seem to be any viable alternatives left on Windows without disabling Hyper-V and therefore harming the host systems security.

One issue I have with Hyper-V in comparison to VMware is 3d or video acceleration/performance.

But I found out that you can passthrough or partition your gpu so that Hyper-V can utilize it.

Is it possible to passthrough my Ryzen 7 9700x CPU's AMD iGPU? It's just idling around and I never used it before. That way I could use my whole main GPU for the LLM Backend that I run on the Windows 10 Pro host.

Thank you for reading and any suggestions or advices!

How to safely install Hermes and let it read my Desktop & Browser?

Hello and first of: Sorry if this has been asked before.

I want to give Hermes Agent a try but I've read that it should be safely isolated so that it doesn't mess with the system, even if there are other safeguards like activating or deactivating what it can do.

I tried using ChatGPT-5.4 and Gemini 3.1 Pro to guide me through, but I feel like they do not properly research and also do not care too much about safety.

I'm on Windows and would like to use Hermes Desktop by fathah, as I prefer a GUI over terminals.

I saw that Hermes Desktop has a "Guided first-run install for Hermes Agent with progress tracking and dependency resolution", but I didn't find out if this installation will come with a proper isolation or if I should manually install Hermes Agent using WSL2 or another method.

My main usage would be sharing my real-time Screen or Browser to:

  1. Write documents together or let it write for me based on my notes, using my writing style from docs that I drop in the shared folder.
  2. Let it watch me work in Chrome to assist me without me needing to explain everything (not sure how reliably this will work though). The LLMs suggested me that I use Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), "--remote-debugging-port=9222" in Chrome, to let Hermes see what I do in the Browser, using a new user and port 9222, as this port will just listen to localhost.

Please note that I just know some Javascript and would prefer to not "hacksor around" and use easy to follow installation steps instead. 😃

Thank you for reading and any help or suggestions are highly appreciated!
