Are you actually following your Disney itinerary?

Disney itineraries come in many forms. Some look like military operations. Every ride, meal, reservation, break and bathroom stop has a place on the schedule.

Then there is the exact opposite: "We'll get there and figure it out."

Most of us probably land somewhere in between.

Where do you fall?

Do you usually:

• Plan the day pretty carefully, including rides, meals, reservations, breaks, etc.
• Have a general plan with a few things locked in, but leave plenty of room to improvise
• Make a short list of must-dos and figure out the rest once you're in the park
• Pretty much wing it

What happens to your plan once you're actually in the park? Do you generally stick to the plan you made at home, or does the plan tend to evolve as the day goes along?

I've had days where the plan looked great on paper and lasted about two hours once we actually got through the gates.

What's your normal approach?

After last weekend's rush, did Disney World settle back down?

Last weekend was a busy one at Disney World. This weekend? A very different story.

Waits came back down across all four parks, with Magic Kingdom and EPCOT roughly back to their recent normal. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom actually ran below it.

And the weather flipped right along with it. Last weekend was unusually cool and dry. This weekend was back to 90° and muggy. 😂

So what changed? Was last weekend actually more crowded, or did that unusually nice weather simply bring more people out?

Either way, if you were worried that the late-September crowds were going to carry into October, this weekend was a pretty good reset.

Did it feel quieter to you?
