*after the announcement
Just so we know if the shipping date has been updated to November for these people. What if the November update is for the people ordering today?
Let us know!
Hey just sharing the email I just received from the store where I ordered from.
Translated from French :
________
Hello,
You placed an order for the Sony FX5 camera on our site, and we wanted to get in touch to keep you updated on its availability status. 🎥
When the product was announced in July, Sony initially indicated that it would be available by mid-August. That date was subsequently pushed back to early September.
Unfortunately, we have just received a new update from the manufacturer: no deliveries are now expected to take place during September, and the first units are currently scheduled for early October.
We are sincerely sorry to have to announce this further delay. We know the wait is becoming long, especially for those who pre-ordered their FX5 right at the launch. 🙏
This situation affects the entire distribution network; as of today, the first units have not yet left Sony’s factories. We are, therefore, unfortunately dependent on the production and delivery schedule provided by the manufacturer.
