Nicky is crawling from the peat bog, across the body of her rescuer, Brandy. The elation over the successful rescue and the sensation of Nicky's muddy, nude body sliding over hers are causing Brandy to feel a peculiar sensation of satisfaction.

We leave Nicky in the bog as a cliffhanger at the end of Part 2. At the start of Part 3, Detective Brandy Bloomfield, who had been working undercover among some suspicious hippies (which explains why she's naked in the woods in the middle of the night as part of her policework), comes to Nicky's rescue.

Detective Brandy Bloomfield thought she had solved the case of a double murder in Sutter Moor State Park, near the small town of Port Hitchcock on the Northern California Coast. But when another couple is killed, with the same modus operandi, the case is again wide open. Will Brandy solve it, or will she be sucked into the bog of fear and suspicion she has to wade into?
Part 3 - Fear and Loathing on Sutter Moor
The series of homicides in Sutter Moor State Park continues - and it gets closer to home for Detective Brandy Bloomfield. With her career, her friends, and even her life under threat, will our heroine bring the killer to justice?
