Do detector companies ever reach out when they are wrong

Has any detector company ever proactively reached out to a student or institution to say their tool produced a false positive in a specific case. From everything I've seen, no. They process payments, push updates and stay completely silent when their tool harms someone.

Why do detectors perform worse on expository writing

Expository writing explains complex ideas clearly and logically. That kind of writing scores badly on detectors almost every time i've tested it. The better you are at breaking down complicated topics, the more suspicious you apparently look. It's punishing exactly the skill expository writing is meant to develop.
