I’ve never understood why people come to chipotle and just order rice and chicken (and sometimes cheese). It’s be much cheaper to just get a chicken cup and a large side of rice. My store lets customers order a bowl of rice for 1.45 and the chicken cup is like 3.35 ish. Much cheaper than the typical 8.30 price for a chicken bowl

As I’m sure many of you were aware, there was another major dupe in the Hypixel Pit (most likely stemming from something about text modifiers). Although I don’t expect them to be perfect, it would be amazing to make sure fixing the problem was done without negligence.

The pit was down for approximately 3 days I believe, and I’m aware some issues arose when they were trying solve the original problem. I’m glad they were able to solve most issues in a timely manner and issue wipes to many storage/main accounts that deserved it. Some items still exist, but then again it’s always hard to prove whos fault it is.

I haven’t played much after pit was re-opened a couple hours ago, but I did notice that attempting to trade gold results in a parsing issue and is effectively disabled still. Another issue is that you’re not longer able to drop mystic items to other players (I think this one is intentional, but PLEASE increase the daily trade caps then because 25 is definitely not enough). I’m still looking for new bugs, but please let me know if you find any others relating to this!

One thing that is completely unacceptable, however, is the fact that some players got rolled back much farther than they should have (some losing years of progress). Let me emphasize that no, this was most definitely not a punishment of any sort. Boosting bans (duping is in this category) are always met with wipes and never a roll back that these players received. I don’t know how this could have possibly happened, but I’m really hoping Hypixel’s “support” team can get this fixed soon.

Why hasn't Hypixel made every map / gamemode have the same height limit. Like it really cannot be that hard whatsoever (all you need to do is shift the map up or down Y blocks). Instead of players having to memorize or have mods to tell them the height limit, hypixel could have solved this years ago but they just refuse to? Hell, I'd be fine if the new maps they put out have a consistent height limit but they don't even do that either.

I don’t understand why staff leave the rules so vague and up to our interpretation for the most part (with there being some contradictions here and there too). Yes, most players will usually be fine, but the gray area is still too big to be acceptable especially for games like skyblock and pit. Players are constantly getting flagged for big trades in skyblock & newer players are getting wiped daily in pit for unknowingly streaking off bots (that look almost identical to players). All this coupled with the fact that 99% of appeals relating to bans are auto denied just really hurts the community.

All I want is some sort of announcement clarifying everything. Many times players (including myself) try to say something on the forums on how to detect bots or safe times to streak (for pit) etc, it always gets taken down immediately

I haven't done anything on this game in like a year but I see all of you guys freaking out that the game is gone because of so many players being wiped for seemingly no reason, but the entire situation is actually pretty easy to explain so I wanted to break it down for you guys and from there you can all collectively decide if you want to save your game or not.

First question - Is there some level of corruption or negligence involved here? Yes of course. Definitely the latter. Probably not the former. Most likely what you have here is a new staff member who isn't familiar with the game and is receiving reports while taking action on them with a terrible interpretation of Hypixel's current rules. Is it a problem that this employee is being manipulated into doing these things as seen below? Of course it is. But more important is to understand WHY these things are happening so you can all avoid them until the staff team recognizes the problem and backs off - just as they did the last time this happened.

Like I said, obviously all of the above are examples of a staff member being manipulated into false banning players. Great. Who cares. Did the thing with this guy using bots to spam messages aimed at getting a group of people falsely banned and wiped actually work? Maybe. Maybe not. Doesn't matter. The first thing that actually does matter is the following:

This is Hypixel's description for a stats boosting ban. It's not what it used to be. As you can see, simply using alts or partying with players who end up getting banned for cheating can get you (an innocent player) banned and wiped now. The obvious problems here are 1) you have no idea who is cheating, 2) everyone uses storage alts because it's not explicitly disallowed anywhere AND is impossible to police meaning it should never be disallowed, and 3) anyone can go cheat at any time after interacting with someone else.

For example: If you want to get a player wiped, just hop on an account with a bunch of junk items that looks mildly real. Trade with that player. Party them as well for extra assurance. Then go get yourself banned for boosting. High chance you'll take them with you. Maybe not always because as we established most of these bans are occurring only because of a gullible staff member who doesn't understand The Pit being manipulated into conducting them, but that is besides the point.

Next issue: Bots. Autogrinders exist. They look like real players. It's pretty hard to tell sometimes, especially if they join while you're already playing. What if a person logs bots on and makes them lobby swap and follow you around because that person doesn't like you - what do you do then? Also, sometimes almost every lobby is full of bots. What are you supposed to do if that happens - not play? Just decide it's too risky? Well for all of these, currently, yes that's exactly what you're supposed to do. Obviously that's completely wrong and needs changed, but it will take all of you banding together and complaining on the forums for that to actually happen. Cite this description if you wish.
I will close this by telling you how to avoid this happening to you until it stops happening outright - which it absolutely will stop as long as you all actually stand up for yourselves and tell the administration on the forums that it's unacceptable.

Don't use a VPN ever. Want to protect your privacy? Too bad. Hypixel doesn't really believe in privacy, especially on The Pit. If anyone else has used your VPN IP and been banned for cheating somewhere else on the server, it's tainted and there is a good chance you'll be knocked off too at some point. Same goes for proxy connections.

Don't use a storage account. It doesn't matter that there isn't any official guidance on this. A poor interpretation of the Boosting rule means it might not be okay. I have no idea. Neither do you.

Don't party with anyone. You don't know what they're going to do or already have done. Need to conduct a trade? Need to talk to someone? Too bad. Don't do it or you could be falsely banned and wiped per the overly precise interpretation of the Boosting rule - an interpretation that must be changed if you all want the game to be safe to play again.

Don't streak unless you're absolutely certain there aren't silent bots or autogrinders present. It's a shame you have to do a bunch of detective work just to have the opportunity to play, but that is the reality. If you can't find a lobby without bots, don't play.

Don't bother anyone. Good luck actually doing this, but I'm writing it here because we already know that some level of manipulation by players directed at staff members is happening in order for all of this to occur. If you bother someone, they might decide they want you to be erased. Ever heard of the book "Three Felonies A Day?" Good read. Look it up if you haven't and consider that the game you wish to play is just as screwed up right now.
