Yesterday around 6 pm, my brother came in and I asked my coworker if she could give him my employee discount. My coworker did apply and as I was walking back to the grill from dml she stopped me and asked me to sign the receipt.

Will I be okay??

Idk if it matters but the morning shift had just gotten the ecosure inspection.

My boss requires us to give 3 weeks' notice for a day off. I requested today off two weeks ago, and they told me to find coverage because the schedule was already posted. I found coverage, and they canceled an hour before the shift. What do I do?

Eat a burrito, felt something pierce the back of my throat. My mouth is bleeding and something is currently stuck in the back of my throat but I can’t see it.
Chicken, rice, cheese was on the burrito. Wondering if I ate a piece of bristle or something

I recently started working at Chipotle about three weeks ago, and I was reading through parts of the employee handbook. When I got to the employee discount and meal section, I saw that employees get a 50% discount when they aren’t working, while employees working that day can get a free meal during their break or after their shift. However, the meal has to be eaten in the restaurant because employees aren’t allowed to take it home or give it to someone else.
I understand that businesses have policies in place to prevent abuse of employee benefits, but I honestly have mixed feelings about this one.
For example, imagine an employee who is a single parent trying to provide for their kids. If that employee receives a free meal during their shift, why shouldn’t they be able to take it home to their children if they choose to? If they’re not allowed to, it feels less like a truly “free meal” and more like a meal that comes with restrictions.
I’m not saying employees should be able to take unlimited food home or abuse the policy. I just think there could be more flexibility for employees who genuinely need the benefit to help feed their families.
I’m curious what other Chipotle employees think about this. Do you agree with the policy, or do you think employees should be allowed to take their meal home?

I will never understand why people like the bowl over the burrito and everytime I try to find out, the answers don't make any sense to me.

The most common consensus I can find is that the burrito keeps falling apart. What are y'all putting in your burritos? I've gone to Chipotle for years, at multiple locations, and not ONCE has my burrito fallen apart.

Can someone please give me some perspective on this or maybe confirm that there are in fact people who prefer the burrito over the bowl? I feel like I'm going crazy and completely alienated (I know it's a stupid thing to feel alienated about, but I'm going through a rough one right now, so cut me some slack I'm emotional rn).

I just had my first shift in a mattress store. I’m in tears, well no but beyond happy.

I took a minute and sat down, manager said “morning sucks eh, let me get you a coffee. Make some room for me”

Not “ come on man” “you need to finish this in 5 minutes” “ “is this the best use of your time?” “Do you need to go home”.

I just walk around help customers/ do cash. Ofc do some stuff with inventory and setting up the store. But it’s cake work compared to what I had before.

No rush hours, no dumb rules(can’t take your meal with you, even though you earned it). Chill retail.

Idk if every fast food job is like this, but trust me I’ll never work fast food again.

And btw I make more money, with none of the stress or over work.

This is your sign. Screw this garbage company, and find something else.

I haven’t told them I quit. Since I just called in sick. But do I just not show up? Say bye? I will go to few more shifts. To tell my other coworkers who are great people to job hop.

Ive just started working at Chipotle for over a month now because I want money to buy Christmas gifts and for school stuff for next semester. Working here is DRAINING me. The customers are snobby and there's too many things to keep up at my location. My coworkers are mean, but idrc about them at all. I have a feeling they find me weird since I dont really talk to anyone. I come in and work then leave

I work early shift and prep the food and I hate it. But I dont want to work nights at stay up until 1 am for every shift. I've been doing a good job of masking my emotions up until this week, I'm over it. I even asked to do part time because this simply isn't it for me, and its still draining because they ask me to come in on my days off constantly

Our location has a high turnover rate. New people come in and work 3 days max before never showing up again. And so far I'm the only 'new' person whos stayed for this long. All my coworkers have stayed and worked there for years. To other people whos stayed that long, how do yall do it?? Because I'm genuinely losing my mind

Hopefully next week when I go back I'll be better at hiding my emotions and disassociate while chopping the onions.

Even though we sometimes run out of a product during a closing shift (if the morning crew didn't prep enough for the entire day or if it was busier than expected later in the day) I was always told that we should make whatever we run out of, no matter what (within reason)

However, I've worked at some stores that didn't seem to care if they ran out of something 2-3-4 hours before they closed, despite being told to not worry about making more, since it wasn't a priority at the time

Furthermore, making cheese, guac, lettuce, fajitas, and onions may not be possible during a closing shift (after peak) since they take more time to make, when compared to chips, salsas, and sour cream, along with having to focus on more cleaning and closing duties, which makes more sense than prepping at that time

Ok 2 weeks ago I catered Chipolte chicken and this week I got the family meal for chipotle chicken. One was significantly cheaper than the other however I got the same amount of meat in the same boxes for both. My question is on average how many ounces of meat are in the family meals.
