How to avail the new customer offers after first year?
My virgin media 1 year contract at 1GB is ending soon. Previously i signed up as a new user for the first time and got €45 per month for 12 months. As of today, virgin media website lists offers for new customers as €40 per month for the 1GB for 12 months.
I spoke with their sales team and best offer i could get was a 12 month contract,
€40 for first 9 months and €80 for the 3 months after.
Averaging €50 a month. (is this a good enough deal to accept?)
I see comments from some posts that people get their partner, house mate, siblings, etc to switch to their name after the first year to avail the new offer. But does anyone know Are you able to repeat the same process back and forth? or does the system recognise the direct debit account?
- Like year 1, person 1 makes an account, get the deal.
- Year 2, person 2 makes an account, get the deal.
- Year 3, person 1 makes a new account to get the deal again - is this possible?
Or does anyone know what is considered a "new customer"?
Is it a “once per person” or “once per person-and-address combination.” Or is it as simple as a new email account.
