Hello, I have a 2014 Toyota Camry and I recently found out that the transmission needs to be replaced. I am trying to decide what to do next. The dealership says it will be 8-12K to fix it. I found a mechanic that could do it for 3-4K. Current milage is 142,536 km. The car has been running fine, it has a few scratches which could be fixed easily and I just got new tires.

Is it worth fixing?

Can I sell as is and get a new car? If so, what could I possibly sell it for?

If I fix the transmission, how much could I sell it for?
