Plead for Help

Sitting in silence… Listening and Thinking….

It's a war outside. It feels like the kind of warnings scripture gives in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Is this ancient history or a mirror reflecting back at us? Has our nation gone too far? Did we separate ourselves from your love? Please have mercy on us, for we don't know what we do.

We are reminded of the words recorded in Revelation, You send warnings before judgment, and call Your people out of what is not of you. There are two paths, the path to God's Kingdom and the path to Babylon, a symbolic name referring to a system of empire. A nation that appears mighty and powerful, but is built on pride and sin, unstable in all its ways. Yet through all of this corruptness, You still call us in mercy before it comes crumbling down.

Bring peace to us Lord, restore us Father, and use our voices to bring awareness and soften the hearts of our people. Thank you Elohim

Isaiah 3:9  - “Their partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom, they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil upon themselves. “

Jeremiah 23:14 -  “I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery and walk in lies; they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness; all of them have become like Sodom to me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah ”

Luke 23:34 - And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

Revelation 18:4 “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.”

A Letter to the Wanders

I don’t share this to lift myself up, but to encourage anyone who may need it. These words are on my heart, and I hope they bring someone closer to God

How do we know if we are truly following the desires that are from our Lord God? I would like to share some scripture from the book of James, which helps give us clarification and guidance for living a righteous life.

James 3:13
“13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.”

We see from this verse that we must live an honorable life that pleases God. This includes following the laws that were given unto us. But it has to be deeper than just following the laws, right? Of course—and this next verse shows us exactly what a genuine faith is.

James 1:27
“27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”

As we see from this message, pure faith is sharing LOVE with others. It is the active participation in helping those who are in distress and in need of guidance. This is how we overcome evil, which is itself the world as a whole. Our faith is not what we simply tell ourselves it is; instead, our faith is shown
by how we present our actions and lives to the outside eye. Yet we must be careful in doing so, for we are warned not to have selfish ambitions that brings glory and attention to ourselves.

James 3:14–15
“14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.”

Now with the knowledge of what corrupt wisdom looks like, let us read the signs of pure wisdom from above.

James 3:17
“17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.”

It is clear that wisdom that comes from the Lord has no signs of selfish intentions. Instead, this wisdom is filled with love and truth. This is the wisdom we need to seek and devote our lives toward, so that we can properly provide comfort, help, and protection to others. For those who want to seek this wisdom, here is how to do so:

James 1:5–6
“5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.”

We have to understand that God wants to give us knowledge. As a matter of fact, God speaks this wisdom to us on a daily basis, but some of our ears are not open to hear. We have become so friendly with the world and its wicked actions that our focus has wandered far from God. Instead, our focus is directed towards worldly desires that come from the enemy. Use these next two scriptures to reconcile with God and come back to the path of righteousness. For the Father is eagerly waiting for His children to return to the light.

James 4:8
“8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”

James 5:16
“16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

As we read, we must come close to God. By doing so, our ears will be opened to rejoice at the sound of His voice, our eyes will be opened to see the world for what it truly is, our feet will begin to walk the path He has laid before us, and our tongue will be used to give courage, hope, comfort, love, and wisdom to others.

James 5:20
“20 You can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.”

I write this in confidence that it will reach the ears of those who need to hear it. Come back to God, and rejoice with us in His love and wisdom.

May the grace of God be with us all!

Proverbs 3:7-8

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:7-8‬
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”

Let’s break this down, starting with “be not wise in your own eyes.” This is saying to resist pride of thinking you know best, and trusting in your own opinions. We must stay open to Gods wisdom, for he knows what’s best.
We are then taken to the text stating “fear the Lord”. This is used wisely in the Bible, and could be misunderstood If just read literally. The world “fear” is not a sense of terror, but more of respecting and honoring God.
Lastly, we are brought to the statement that rejecting evil will “heal your flesh and refresh your bones”. This idea is saying, living in Gods wisdom will bring peace, health, and emotional stability,

This verse in a whole is simply saying “Don’t depend on yourself. Respect God, avoid evil, and His wisdom will bring change and spiritual healing into your life.”

For those who are struggling…

Reminder to all who might be struggling, God does not abandon those who remain faithful to Him.

“This is how the Lord responds: ‘If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you! They will fight against you like an attacking army, but I will make you as secure as a fortified wall of bronze. They will not conquer you, for I am with you to protect and rescue you. I, the Lord, have spoken! Yes, I will certainly keep you safe from these wicked men. I will rescue you from their cruel hands.’”
— Jeremiah 15:19-21

Here God is reassuring us that we will face evil and there will be struggles, but with God’s love we will overcome and be delivered.

In the text above Jeremiah comes to God vulnerable and weeping, asking why he is rejected by the people and why his pain is unceasing.

God’s response is given to reassure and give hope not only to Jeremiah, but to us readers as well.

Keep pressing on!

Isaiah 53

The depth of God’s love is prophesied through the Suffering Servant described in the Book of Isaiah chapter 53, which was written roughly 600-700 years prior to Jesus Christ. The Servant’s suffering isn't just about pain and sacrifice, but a willingness to accept harsh unfairness for the sake of others, which helped me see that Jesus did not just die for us, but He was willing to be misunderstood by the very people He was saving.

The Suffering Servant is a man who had deep love for his people, so much love that he endured lashes on his skin, cast out of society, mocked, and spat upon. Yet the servant continuously endured and pressed on. His love was so pure and genuine that he was willing to humbly give up his own life as a sacrifice for his people’s sins and arrogance. The servant’s own heart cried out for his people and poured out constant truth and wisdom so they might understand. He saw the cruelty of the land, the iniquity of the people, and chose to step down from glory and take up suffering to carry the weight of many sins. This resulted in his suffering becoming a substitute for the death that awaited the people he loved so deeply.

The people who witnessed this servant assumed he was deserving of all his pain, beatings, and rejection. Yet the servant continued to press on. He was mistreated for the wrongdoings of the people. This serves as a reminder for his people, you and me, that God personally came as this Suffering Servant, because He loves His people. He came to teach and reveal brokenness, yet His own people rejected Him and put Him to death. In the light of the New Testament, we see that Jesus came as God’s representative, one who suffers on behalf of humanity for the redemption through God’s love and the restoration of relationship with His people. We cannot merely acknowledge this truth, but must allow it to shape how we live each day.

Soul Entanglement

“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’ But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”
— (1 Corinthians 6:16–18)

When we sleep with another, our souls merge. So those who sleep with many are being merged with many. Meaning if one is tied to demonic spirits, those evil spirits are being welcomed into your life or on the other hand, you are inviting those evil spirits into another’s personal life.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
— (Ephesians 6:12)

We battle not with flesh, but with evil spirits.
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.”
— (Matthew 6:22)

If your eye is bad, then your whole body will be filled with darkness. So what you see goes directly to your soul/heart, for the eye is a gateway to our soul.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”
— (Matthew 5:27–29)

This isn’t just physical sex, but the thought, desire, or masturbation with someone on your mind as well. You’re inviting demons into your life.

Examples: scrolling through TikTok and seeing women dancing half-naked, scrolling through media where you come across and stare at so-and-so’s recently posted photos, or even watching your favorite TV show or your so-called role model promoting or tempting us into wrongful thinking.

In these moments, you are actively entertaining these demonic spirits. Some of us watch darkness every day but are blinded by the enemy and unable to see the truth that lies within.

This is why some of us might experience dark thoughts, or our dreams are filled with torment. We are poisoning our body and soul by allowing these demons to enter through our eyes. We must direct our attention towards the word of God.

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭

Humbly come to the Lord, we must put aside our own desires. Seek and pray to God. Forget the ways of our past. No more lies, no more wrong doings… Let’s come to God and be made new. God cries for us, it’s time to come home and accept his Love.

“You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?”
— James‬ ‭2:19-20‬ ‭

It’s not about just saying you believe in Jesus, but it’s about living it out. The demons that surround us also know Jesus is real, but what separates you from them ?

“If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.” (Matthew 5:29)

If there are things in your life pulling you away from Jesus, cut them off… In these last couple months, God has been growing a deep spiritual love in my heart. I have been shown to remove these sinful actions from my life, to not only deepen my understanding of His love, but also represent myself in a way that brings honor to His name.

That playlist that promotes violence, drugs, and sex… Delete it.

Those pictures posted that show too much of your body, or under the influence… Delete it.

Ask yourself honestly: would I listen to this with Jesus, send this picture to Him, do this in front of Him, or say this in His presence? Your fruit speaks louder than your confession. God calls us to be watchful and to take this seriously.

“Say to them, As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11)

Jesus loves you, but love doesn’t always sound soft – sometimes love tells you the hard truth. God is calling you to turn back, not to condemn you, but to save you. Stop running, stop pretending, and open your Bible.
