My question is, if somebody uses phrase such as "grabbing ankle", does it mean the person is really really traumatised? Or is it a normal phrase to use to say "even if it holds me back"?

Question about fixed term clinical trials assistant roles

I want to look for entry level roles in clinical research. I have seen jobs like these where pay is good for entry level role, however, they are fixed-term roles. My question is do they give us oppurtunity to move to other department/study after this contract ends or do we become jobless?

As an introvert, i find it hard to look for jobs or do interviews. If my only option is becoming jobless after contract ends, then i don't want to apply.
