Why wont my dog come in my room?

I have had my doggie since he was around 6 months old. Hes 8 now. Hes always slept with me at every apartment ive been at ever, in my bed, right beside me. Every nap and cuddle. I recently moved in to my moms house (my childhood home) since graduating college & of course he comes with me everywhere I go. He was sleeping with me in my room upstairs up until a few months ago. Then he just stopped. He wont come in the room, when I call him he will walk away or acts scared to cross the threshold? Sometimes when Im not paying attention and not begging him to come in, hell occasionally lay on my rug for a few minutes but not for long. This all started a few months ago when my cat got really sick with cancer. He was 5, and been around my dog his whole life, they were cuddle buddies, they practically grew up together while I was in college. Well, fast forward to my cat getting sick and growing a huge tumor and eventually passing away at the vet. Im not sure if my dog knows he passed or not bc he never came back home one day. Ive told him and let him smell his whiskers and hair in a jar, but Im not sure he knows. I was thinking it was that? And he feels my cat in the room? Or thinks something is off or different? I have also been doing spellwork and protection and shadow work in my room and have multiple offerings to my ancestors and Isis on my altar. Maybe he feels energy from that and its too strong? Im trying to figure out whats going on with him and my room. I still want to cuddle with him and spend time by him, so ill occasionally take naps in my moms room with him, because hell go on her bed, or lay on the couch with him so he knows I still wanna be by him and nap. It just upsets me because all of his 8 years we have been cuddle buddies, and now he wont even sleep in my bed through the night without panting and whining to get out. Any ideas what hes going through? I just miss my baby boy.
