Ficus Audrey trimming
Hello Everyone,
I have a Ficus Audrey for like 4 months, bought it from a market. Everything went well for like 1 month then it started getting yellow leaf's then starting falling. (please see the first picture), then only 6 leaf's remained (second picture).
I changed the compost with a green plants compost and Perlite and it started to grow leaf's again (currently at 3 new leaf's) (picture 3) but only on the top and my plan is to cut it in order to get more branches.
I'm watering it every other week when the compost gets dry, and I placed it in front of a window with indirect sunlight.
My questions are:
Is there something else that made him lose leaf's? Note that in the old compost there were no bugs etc.
When should i cut it and from where? I don't want him to die because the leaf's are mainly on the top now.
