Round trip

I have r/t from Phoenix to JFK (only one trip per day). If JB cancels the outbound due to weather and I then cancel that outbound flight to book a flight on another airline, is my return flight also canceled ?

New Penn Station

Looks like a New Penn Station is in the works. Fed is giving $8 billion for work to begin 2007. And it's all on the 8th Ave side. Amtrak. Nice but no help for LIRR...just like Moynihan Hall.
