As I continue to wear this jacket as often as possible and earn some fades, I try to at least switch up the pants. It turns out mostly to just be jeans, but oh well!

Finished with Summer break, but not the Summer weather! I ironed my jeans this time (maybe next time I’ll actually starch them) as I always wear these with my western boots.

It seems like we’ve all been having a hot Summer. Luckily, though, there have been some cool mornings where I am. Went with double denim today, if only to break in the jacket some more ;)

Admittedly it’s on the cusp of too hot for a jacket, especially in the sun, but I went for it anyway!

I haven’t really dabbled in prep since HS, but I somehow have been obsessing over this Gitman Vintage OCBD for the last year or so. Just picked it up, and am trying to break it in and find its place in my wardrobe. It seems to already get a decent collar roll!

Picked up the jacket only a week and a half ago, and I’m trying to wear it hard while weather permits! Luckily it works over most of my clothes.

I‘ve basically lived in this fit (minus the fatigues) this Winter. Now that I picked up these Samurai fatigues, I‘m trying out my old fits with the new pants swapped-in. I don‘t think I‘ve ever enjoyed the flannel as much as in today‘s fit!

Got this denim jacket in the mail on Tuesday, so of course I have to wear it in! Here I’m just taking a trusty fit and swappin it in for my denim pearlsnap.

I‘m so grateful for the cool weather; I can immediately throw on the pieces that arrived yesterday: this The Flat Head jacket, and these Samurai ‚baker pants‘ i.e. fatigues. Really digging them both.

Been a denim-head since 2007-ish, and I FINALLY picked up an actual denim jacket.

I may be bending the truth, as I do have a 12oz IH western shirt, which my wife counts it as a jacket, but we won’t nitpick.

Anyway, this is The Flat Head’s FN-OJ-D103, a ‘Leepro’ of the 101j. I have to say for my 6‘4 170lb frame, its tough to find this style jacket in a decent fit, and went specifically for The Flat Head because they cut most tops long and slim.

This pattern fit pretty much right where the vintage ones fit on more normal-sized 1950’s men. Also of note, The Flat Head didn‘t add handwarmer pockets, which many of the other modernized fit 101-j repros include. I happen to prefer it this way.

This is also my first TFH piece, and this LH twill denim is gorgeous!

Getting some sunny, hot weather, and I’m glad I broke out the Summer clothes. Hopefully, I’ll get a few more weeks of jacket weather in May, but we’ll see!
