Just finished Lady Susan, what do I do now?

Hiiiii, new here.

I just finished reading lady Susan, my very first Jane Austen book and I loved it.

Granted, I could read it again cause I only read while I walk out when I'm on a bus, so I got a bit lost with all the letters between characters, but I want a new story.

So, any other Jane Austen book recommendations? Maybe something similar?

HRT Pills

Quick question, I'm taking HRT, spirolonactone 50 mg and estradiol 2 mg.

But I don't know if this is still the dosis I should be taking, since I stopped going to my endocrinologist moths ago since I can't pay her.

Any advice?

Be gay, do crime?

Hello, I was gonna say don't judge me but... go ahead, I deserve it.

My name is Q'hantati (the Q'h is pronounced like an H in english, like a J in spanish), I'm trans fem, 6 months into hrt and neurodivergent.

And let me tell you, that is one expensive convo.

That's not a justification, I should get on topic.

Since I'm not totally out, almost all of my clothes are boy-ish clothes and I don't have the money to buy lots of new thing, I did buy some here and there, but almost exclusively second hand.

The problem started last week. I was at a mall, trying outfits I knew I couldn't afford... so I didn't, I just took it. Same thing yesterday.

I could say that is a big corporation and they wont be hurt by an item missing, but I still feel bad about it.

Something similar happened to you?

Danger Days: over hated or over hyped?

Hello.

Let's get the obvious thing out of the way, I wasn't a MCR fan since the beginning.

I'm 24, born in 2002 and didn't discover them until 2018 or so, so I missed all the discussions that happened with the release of every new album.

However, I did noticed that Danger Days: the True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys wasn't a fan favourite from day one.

But when I heard it for the first time without any context.... I really liked it.

Then I got into MCR, listened the other albums, went back to danger days and I LOVED IT, the songs, the story, everything.

So I wanna know your opinions about it. Do you think they jumped the shark and became a whole different thing? Or do you think that they followed new sounds without losing their essence?

(Gerard Way pic I took on the concert just to share an image)

Puberty, the revenge

Hello world.

This is a question for those who are going or went through the HRT process.

¿How is puberty to you?

Like, when I was going through boy puberty I hardly noticed, I didn't care, I was just like "well, this is supposed to change, but since I don't like what I am now, what the heck"

And now I'm like: "omg, trans girls are so pretty, this one looks super feminine and she is 6 months into HRT, I am also 6 months, but I hardly noticed any difference, is it me? Will I ever look more feminine? Maybe it just doesn't hit me? I feel my boobs more sensitive but are they really growing or am I just gaining weight? I am gaining weight. Why am I so hungry???

So yeah, it's, it's a lot to be honest, I didn't even noticed how much it was until I started to write that paragraph.

Is it similar to you? Did you went through that during your first puberty?

The pride parade (get it? like the black parade?)

Hello my fellow emos.

So, a couple days ago I asked how to clean my trans flag that has the iconic danger days spider.

I could NEVER guessed that you guys would've been so fricking kind and helpful, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all, you guys are living proof that this is a great comunity.

So, I had all of your advice in mind, I did managed to clean my flash withour ruining it, and I went full mcr fan to the march with my "vampires will never hurt you" tshirt.

any of you went to the pride march?

Pride month outfit part two

Hello there, Q'hantati here, oficially 180 days on HRT (without counting the days I forgot to take my meds).

A week ago or so I said that I wanted to see your outfits for pride to take inspo.

In the end I remembered that... I'm broke, so I didn't buy any new thing, but I still liked my outfit.

And now I wanna see yours

(luckily I have my bff to take me at least one picture) (no one takes pictures of the photographer :'( )

Bonus pic of an outfit i used for a random night.

I met a cute girl and we got along😄

I'm not particularly great at meeting people and talking to people and.. people...

But but this is a story of success

I was at an event about a law that affects trans people and I was on full Lois Lane mode, so I was laser focused on paying attention, taking lots of pics and taking notes, so I sat on the back side.

But a girl asked me about what press media I worked with.

And I was like: is it so obvious that I'm press? (While holding a camera and my notebook)

Anyway, we kept talking and she is really cool and pretty and I really like her

Maybe we will be just friends and that will be cool with me, cause I had a great time.

(Also I think I was looking somewhat good, I still have much to learn about make-up)

Outfit for pride march?

Not only I want to see what you will be wearing so I can inspire or steal your ideas, but I also wanted to talk about clothes when you aren´t fully out of the egg.

Cause... my whole wardrobe is pretty boy-ish, except for two dresses (one that doesn't even fit me anymore), three skirts and two t shirts that I cut that give me a bit of euphoria

The easy answer could be "just buy new clothes" but thats expensive, or "get old clothes from friends or from a transitioning trans man" but I either don't fit in them, which makes me dysphoric, or... idk, no one gives me clothes.

What are your experiences with this?

▲ 49 r/bipolar

crazy thing that you did during a manic episode?

Ok, I don't think is crazy crazy (Specially considering other thing I did) but today I did something really impulsive.

I took a somewhat long bus travel to interview an artist for something that is happening in my country.

But I arrived too early, so I had like a few minutes free and the interview was in a Mall.

So I started to try on outfits even though I didn't had money

And then the idea crossed my mind

What is I just put this in my bag

So, like a rational human being I said "No, that's stealing, we wouldn't do that"

But at the same time I was putting it on my bag

And so I have a new shirt

Running out of HRT pills

Hiii, I'm a trans woman, I'm 24 years old and I started HRT 6 months ago.

At that time I had a stable job with enough payment to buy my t blockers and estrogen.

That's not the case now, and I only have pills for 5 more days.

Luckily the pride march is in five days, so I had the idea of selling stickers... But also selling one kiss for one sol (for comparison 1 dollar = 3.45 soles)

I have to get more less 120 soles so... 35 dollars for comparison.

The problem is that I'm dysphoric most of the time and I'm afraid I won't get that much money selling kisses, so I came to ask if you, the audience, believe this is a good idea.

(Also I can't sell food or something prepared cause my family doesn't know I'm on HRT so I can't cook in my house to sell it at the march)

(If it wasn't clear I'm the one on the pics, these are from April, so my hair is green now)

If Iwash my spray painted flag the logo goes away?

While I was waiting in line for the MCR concert I spray painted my trans flag, and now I want to use it for pride, but I'm afraid that if I wash it the logo will go away or the paint will make things black on the washing machine.

Any of you has washed a spray painted flag before? Any advice?

It's a relief for me to know that I won't have children

Context: Hi, I'm a trans woman (6 months on HRT), 4 days ago my psychiatrist explained to me that my meds have been treating bipolar affective disorder, today my psychologist told me that is really, really probable for me to have bipolar affective disorder.

So, for those who don't know, one of the possible side effects of HRT is infertility.

Lately that idea has been running around my mind.

This doesn't make me doubt, I don't want to stop my hormone therapy and I didn't even wanted to have kids in the first place.

But it does make me sad sometimes.

Then I remember that mental illnesses can be hereditary.

I tried to cancel my subscription to life a couple times, most of the time I'm a mess, I'm irresponsible, I can't stay focused and most times I hate myself. And I don't want to pass that to anyone.

So even though the possibility of never having children of my own makes me kind of sad, it's a relief to know that this messed up cycle ends with me.

This is just my personal opinion (fuelled by spite, self-hate and depression) about my own situation, I would never think bad of someone who has kids and a mental illness, best case scenario they can help them to navigate through it better.

It's just not for me, and I think that's for the best.
