Anything like Arcade Buck Hunter?

I love the arcade buck hunter experience, and it's one of the games my wife and I can play together. But as fun as blasting it out in the arcade is, I'd love to be able to find a similar experience at home on SteamVR.

I've heard things about Virtual Hunter (but probably more sim and less arcade) and Wild Game Hunter VR (which is maybe too cartooney). Legendary Hunter...other stuff looks way too low effort.

What should I check out/ What should I avoid?

Between BenQ TK710 and Optoma UHZ36 - I need a tiebreaker!

Hello -

I've narrowed it down to I think two projectors. We have a 150" screen with a 10' to up to 17' throw, in an indirectly lit room (so brightness is a factor).

Highest priorities are:

  • Picture quality & consistency - gotta be 4K and high fidelity for our movie nights with friends
  • Brightness - doesn't have to be amazing, but we'd like to watch during the day/evenings before it's completely dark. We won't be able to completely eliminate competing light
  • Response time - I plan to use it for gaming
  • Reliability & Quality - gotta be something that will last a long time with minimal maintenance (hence why we're looking at Laser over Lamp).
  • Cost - $1000 - $1,500 is the sweet spot for us.

I'm open to other suggestions, but I'm at am impasse between these two.

I've had an Optoma projector for a long time, and it's been great. But BenQ has the best rep around. That said, on paper, the UHZ36 seems to beat the TK710 on brightness...but I know specs are exaggerated sometimes.

Does anyone have experience with both?

AND

Would there be an advantage in spending a little less on a bulb projector and factoring in cost of replacing the lantern a couple times?

Is there anything I'm not thinking of?
