Should I change the ship of the fic I’m writing after what Mark Lee did?
Hello, I’m an author on ao3 for Markhyuck (NCT) and I’ve been writing a fic for a while (not posted yet) but with Mark literally wearing the confederate flag the other day I don’t know if I want to/should continue writing the story with him, but I’m already like 100,000 words in. When I write I don’t exactly use their real personalities and usually fit it/shape it to the world I make for the story, so I could technically change their names. Should I keep writing it as them or swap out their names for another ship? If I were to swap it out I’d probably do Yusion (NCT) since I could imagine them in the world I was writing and the personalities I wrote aren’t too off so it wouldn’t be too jarring. I’ve also been liking the Jihyuck (NCT) ship recently but I don’t think adding Jisung in this particular story would work at all and Yusion would fit better.
Also, I just made a non-personal Wattpad account I was planning to cross post my previous stories onto and I’m wondering if I even should after what Mark has done (all my previous stories are Markhyuck)
If anyone has any thoughts, please share as I’m a bit conflicted.
