Theres something deeply wrong with the Indian Crochet Community.

I don't know if anyone here has noticed this. But the Indian Crochet community is veryyy profit centric.

Like why is everyone trying to get their pieces sold off? Why is every other post i see on this sub is just about a crochet business or someone just wanting to fix their pricing, Instead of asking for tips and tricks, patterns and new designs. This collective capitalisation of a hobby is genuinely sad to see.

Have we all collectively forgotten that crochet, primarily, is supposed to be a hobby and not a full proof business model?

If you enter online crochet spaces outside India, you'll realise their discussions and posts are completely different than ours. They discuss patterns, new designs and genuinely try to help each other out.

Now, I'm not completely against crochet businesses. Tbh, If that's what you want to do, and you are genuinely passionate about it then you should defo go for it and i encourage you. But this sudden push of everyone opening a crochet business is genuinely a problem, and has already saturated the market for the people who genuinely wanted to make this hobby their work.
