Anyone else sick and tired of so unbiased politics on campus.
Before I write anything more
I want make it clear I understand most universities present left leaning (despite not actually being ie UC indirect funding of missles in middle east ) and students tend to be also quite left leaning. I also want to make it very clear im not some conservative guy getting mad, im acctully far left and a little bit of right. (probs voting greens )
but i’m so tiried of “unbiased“ politics on campus that always is just left leaning. The canva magazine for example, incredibly left leaning. How is portraying a party leader as saruon “unbias”. It also applies to all the political posters around uni, which i’m sure we have all seen. Which portray labour and the opportunity party as amazing, while national and nz first as big bad guys. (posters made by writers of canva)
Which is completely fine if you believe this, but how is this unbiased?
My issue isn’t there left leaning (which they obviously reflect the writer’s opinion) but just own up about it. It’s your right to a political opinion, don’t lie and claim your being unbias when your clearly not.
If canva did the same magazine but it was right leaning i’m sure many people would be upset, so why shouldn’t we apply the same attitude?
Maybe i’m wrong but as someone who is voting left I still think it’s wrong and shouldn’t be done.
