I just got done changing the valve cover gaskets and found this on the driver's side. I noticed after I shut this video that there is a bolt missing on the backside of that middle portion on top. I have no idea what this is. It's new territory for me. Can anyone help direct me on what this part is and what I need to do to fix the leak?
I have a 96 extended cab dakota. The plastic on the seat belt latches in the front, all three, disintegrated. I had bought universal replacements and found out the male end wouldn't fit. So I went back and bought the entire set. Cut a hole in the molding to fit the belt mechanism and it works just fine.
The kit I bought said it had the wiring for the seatbelt warning but the connectors do not align. Could I cut the connectors and hardwire them? I know I wouldn't be able to slide the seat but thats fine with me.
Alternatively, are there like replacements? I don't really want to go to the junk yard for other 30 y.o. latch system just for it to fall apart again.
