Sherpa Capitol Roof Rack

Just installed this today. It took about 1 hour of prep the other day and 3-4 hours today. Really wasn’t bad to install, and I followed their instruction video on YouTube that’s pretty thorough.

Getting the plastic cover part of the old one was kinda sketchy, and I actually cracked one. I learned you need to leverage up on the corners not the center. Other than that it was just a lot of screwing and stepping up and down on a step ladder. It was surprisingly easy to get things straight and even. I also added some t-slot cover seals before putting on the crossbars because I heard they collect water. I ordered 6meters and it only covered the four slots in one rail, then one slot in another, so I need to add more later

I love it. It’s sturdy as hell, and I think it looks sleek. Ideally it’d be like a half inch slimmer but then it wouldn’t clear the shark fin. I’ve already gotten used to it anyway. Rock sliders next

New lights on 2025 sr5

I changed the turn signal lights to LED switchbacks so that the original daytime running lights are white, then added new amber raptor lights so that they are effective the new DRLs

If you ever want to install these, it’s important not to wire the lights through the dynamic grill shudders. Also, it says you use the IGN fuse, however that will cause the “phantom lights” when diagnostics are done. Instead I used the rear seat heater fuse (S/HTR R/L) since it’s not used on the sr5 and it is also turned on by the ignition.
