Wife got invited to a friend’s wedding we were told to arrive at 9PM. I found it weird that it was so late and decided to look into it - I saw the dinner started at 7PM and they didn’t write the rest of the scheduled in. That’s when it clicked that they were asking people to come just for the dance and party which meant still getting gifts. Ended up not going and not sending any gift.

Who does this??????

Edit: this happened in Canada (in a big city lol) and was not something we’ve experience before. Cool to hear about different cultures and how they celebrate though!
