I’ve seen the cool Minxes and Jetfires on this sub and I was finally lucky enough to score one. I’m even more impressed seeing it in person. Very well put together little rocketmouse.

Does anyone know about when this would have been made? Early 80s? It’s too old for the Beretta site lookup and when I emailed them they said they didn’t know.

The box is a silver color if that helps.

Hand ejector for wgw

Really like shooting this little 32 s&w long, circa 1913. I’ve got the original grips too, but these pimpy ones are more fun for the range and (once pocketed) an occasional trip to the store

Retro “ack!”

u/Strong_Dentist_7561 this is for you. I figure if the pistol isn’t retro enough for the sub I’m hopeful my method of concealment is ;)

I rescued this wartime Beretta 1935 and got it for a song. It’s as sturdy and functional as they all are—and shoots quite well— but wow did it get hit with the ugly stick.

I’m sure the previous owner had good reasons to wire wheel the hell out of it (it’s definitely quite pitted), and they may have saved it. But they gave it even more (ahem) character in the process. The photos probably don’t do it enough injustice. The barrel looks almost in the white.

I’ll probably keep it just like it is. Some poor fascist bastard gave it up the hard way (I’m guessing it’s a bringback but who knows) and I figure if I keep it well oiled and attended to it will outlive me. I love it

Destroyer firing pin fixed!

I rescued this “Destroyer” 25, made in the 19 teens (probably) by Gaztañaga y Compania in the Spanish town of Eibar.

I thought I had a missing firing pin but when I opened her up I realized I had the beginnings of a DIY pin made from a drill bit (see photo of the lil’ guy). I even had the spring.

Seeing as it is way too short to be a functioning pin I eventually realized someone was constructing a 2-piece firing pin … so I found some drill rod at a local supplier, filed/sawed/shaped and made the second half of it (see photo)

Next with help from various pros of YouTube I treated it with a torch, quenched in oil, and tempered in the oven and. . . Kapow!

At least it went kapow on the two, primer-only reloads I tried.

Next up is a proper range visit to see if I can destroy some paper targets! I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. I’d never done anything like this before and having to only do the simple end was a relief.

Destroyer firing pin, anyone?

I rescued a Spanish “Destroyer” pistol this weekend (stock example pictured—mines soaking in Hoppe’s in preparation of getting after some of the surface rust)

Might anyone who has one be willing to photograph and measure the firing pin for me? I need to make one, and while I’ve been keen to try I was hoping to have at least a broken one as guide. Thanks in advance!
