Neighbour’s fencer stepped all over my flower bed 😭
It’s as the title says. I’m upset that my gladioli bulbs that I’ve planted across have literally all been trodden on. They were all shooting out really well, at least a foot high.
I told the neighbour & fencer please be careful of the flower bed when they first dug out for the posts, because they’d basically covered a lot of my flower bed with the soil they’d dug out. He said ‘it’s just soil anyway’. To be clear this was old concretey soil just flung on to new plants. All I’d said is please be careful & mindful of the flowers. He said at another point that “it’s just weeds anyway”
The neighbour understood, the fencer got defensive saying he has a job to do and they’re just weeds anyway. I said even if they were that’s my job to look at not for him to dig out.
I’ve literally seen this fencer walk over the flower bed all day without even looking at where he is stepping.
I don’t want to cause an issue due to the first time I mentioned it but I don’t know what to do now I feel helpless and very upset.
