A Heritage auction ended yesterday with a Cooper bill selling for $134,200 (including the buyer's premium).
It wasn't that long ago that bills were selling in the 4 figures.

Has anyone ever determined approximately what percentage of the suspected drop zone in 1971 was private property versus public land?
Cooper ordered his drink from Flo while on the ground in Portland. He passed the note beginning the hijacking just as they were readying for takeoff.
I would have to assume that he didn't order the drink, drink it (and spill it), and have a flight attendant take his empty glass away all before the note was passed.
Which leads me to think he was still in possesion of the glass at the time he began the hijacking.
At what point was his empty glass retrieved from him? And who retrieved it?
I have to asssume that Albert Spaggiari would've had quite the French accent and isn't Cooper, but he's a fascinating story.
A wild bank heist followed by an even wilder escape from his own trial and living the rest of his life in hiding, often taunting the police from afar.
Oh and he was also a paratrooper lol.
Was this guy ever investigated by the FBI? Any 302s that mention him?
