Looking for someone knowledgeable about Great Moravia. (9th century, Europe)

Hi

I am a 14 year old from Slovakia. I have been working on a small RPG set in the period of Great Moravia. My goal is to make the game feel as authentic as possible especially when it comes to things like settlements and weapons used in Great Moravia and daily life.

Now I am also working on a small demo for my RPG that I would like to finish in the next couple of months.

I do not need anything that's too much work. I just wanted to ask if there is someone here who knows the period of Great Moravia well and would be okay with me asking them a few questions about historical accuracy for the game every now and then for example about fortifications, equipment or the layout of settlements.

I try to do my research first but sometimes it is hard to figure out what is actually accurate, and what is just a modern interpretation of Great Moravia.

Any help or direction for my RPG set in Great Moravia would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Beginner Unity dev (14) sharing early progress – looking for feedback

Hey, I’m a 14-year-old beginner Unity developer and I’ve been working on my first project for a short time now.

The project is a first-person RPG set in an early medieval Slavic environment (around the time of Great Moravia). I’m aiming for a grounded and semi-realistic feel — no fantasy elements, more focused on immersion, simple combat, and interacting with the world.

You don’t play as a hero or noble, but as a regular person who gradually becomes more important through small tasks, encounters, and decisions. The focus is more on progression, atmosphere, and world interaction rather than survival mechanics like crafting or resource management.

I’m also trying to approach development in a way where I only add features after I actually learn how to do them properly, instead of forcing things in too early. My goal is to keep it manageable and actually finish the project, even if it stays relatively simple.

So far I’ve implemented:

  • basic first-person movement
  • simple NPC AI (chases the player + patrol mechanic)
  • a basic health system
  • a small test environment (terrain + simple building)
  • simple combat (for now only the script)

I’m still learning, so everything is pretty early and simple right now, but I’d really appreciate any feedback — especially on what I should focus on next (combat, AI, or RPG systems).

I’ve attached a screenshot of the prototype also.

Thanks 👍
