8 month healed SMP on pale skin tone. High resolution images. Legends clinic - SMP artist Paul Clark.

Here’s my client’s journey before, and then healed after three sessions.

Today, he came in for his fourth session.

This final session is all about subtle refinements adding a touch more darkness and topping up in lighter impressions, while leaving natural gaps.

It’s fine tuning today, but I wanted to share these healed results.

Especially for those with lighter skin tones, healed outcomes can be hard to come by, so I hope this is helpful to anyone considering SMP or curious about pale skin results.

My client has received amazing feedback from family and friends even his own brothers had no idea he’d had SMP.

They said, “Why do you shave your head, man? You’ve got loads of hair and a great hairline you should grow it out more!” He even fooled his own brothers, making them believe it was all natural.

He chose a receded, peaked hairline with a feathered effect, which suits his face and gives a mature, natural look.

Over the course of six weeks, with three sessions spaced about two weeks apart, the scalp has had time to settle. This fourth session allows us to refine and add the finishing touches.

I hope you find this insight valuable, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

8 months healed SMP. Soft and subtle style - feathered hairline finish. High res images and iPhone images. Under studio lighting and bright working lights.

Before pictures will be in the comments section.

Hi hope this post is informative and insightful.

This is three sessions healed and today my client came in for his fourth session.

At Legends, we don’t simply assume the work is complete we want to double check and ensure both the client and I are fully satisfied.

The fourth session is all about fine tuning, refining, and perfecting every detail so the result is truly natural result.

My client requested something subtle, as he had very open, diffuse thinning bordering on bald with a delicate, fine hairline.

He opted for a feathered hairline with a receded shape, aiming for a natural, low density look that stays under the radar.

I’ve included high-resolution images, taken both under studio lighting and in brighter, harsher conditions, to offer a transparent look at how the SMP appears.

I know this style isn’t for everyone, but it’s perfect for those who prefer subtlety and natural elegance without drawing too much attention.

The feedback so far for my client has been overwhelmingly positive many are surprised when they learn it’s SMP.

I hope this provides insight into the process. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Make sure you know what your SMP artist technique is ! - Cluster artist vs single hair follicle replication. I hope this video helps people understand different techniques.

Please follow the link to my IG for the 6 part educational video I hope this video helps.

In the world of scalp micropigmentation (SMP), as the industry experiences rapid growth and more practitioners enter, it is an appropriate time to offer deeper education on the types of approaches artists use. When I began in 2009, I was taught a technique that emphasized oversaturation and clustering, with minimal focus on precision.

Today, this cluster-density technique filling large areas quickly, with little regard for long-term settling has grown popular. I believe this approach often prioritizes speed over precision or artistic nuance. While it offers quick coverage, it can result in oversaturation over time.

By contrast, the technique I pioneered in 2009 builds gradually across three sessions. Layering carefully, we adapt to the skin, making precise color and density adjustments. This ensures a natural, adaptable outcome that respects how SMP settles.

When choosing an SMP artist, ensure their technique aligns with your long-term goals. Cluster artists repeat the same approach at touch-ups, risking eventual oversaturation that leads to blowouts and migration.

In summary, understanding these approaches helps you make an informed SMP choice.

6 months healed work - high res images - studio lights - day light - bright working lights. LEGENDS CLINIC - SMP artist Paul Clark.

I hope this post is educational and insightful.

These are my client’s healed results after six months.

My client visited today for a review of their fourth session. For this final session, all we needed to do was refine some faded areas and lightly refresh them.

I’ve carefully captured high resolution images of the healed results. While I had to slightly reduce the image quality for sharing, I hope that by zooming in, you’ll still be able to clearly see the detail of the SMP work.

The client initially had thinning hair from the front through to the back, with diffuse thinning in the middle section. They wanted to lower their hairline by about an inch and a half and opted for a feathered, mature look slightly receded with a soft finish.

I took these photos under studio lights, bright working light, and natural daylight to ensure full transparency. This way, you can envision how SMP might settle over time for yourself.

I’m planning to share more content like this, focusing on healed results using high resolution imagery. I hope this has been an educational and insightful post. If you have any questions or need advice regarding SMP, feel free to reach out!

10 months healed SMP. Pictures taken in a high resolution camera.

I’m sharing my client’s 10-month healed results today, and I’ve taken these photos using a high-resolution, detailed camera to offer as close to an authentic representation as I can.

I wanted to give a transparent look at how SMP appears when fully healed. I did invest in this camera to try and be as clear as possible about the process, even though I know online platforms may reduce the resolution a bit.

I’m really grateful to Ronnie, Jerome, and Alex for helping me choose the right equipment and figure out the settings. I’m hoping to start sharing more high-res healed results, so people have a better sense of what to expect long term.

This particular client had a tricky scalp, especially around the temple area, where the skin became slightly inflamed in the area the client had some strong hair follicles.
These photos show the healed results after the fourth session. In that final session, we refined a few areas with a fine needle, lightly touching up faded spots.

He chose a flat peaked hairline with a hyper jagged finish, which gives a soft transition onto the forehead creating the impression of a full head of hair that’s simply shaved. If you have any questions or want to know more, feel free to reach out. I’m just hoping these posts can help others on their own SMP journeys!

I just hope the images are clear!

Hey everyone, I hope you find this both educational and insightful.

Here’s a look at my client’s 8-month healed scalp micropigmentation results.

He returned for his fourth session, where we focused on adding a touch more darkness and bridging a subtle gap between the SMP and his natural hair.

Beyond that, it was about reviewing everything and giving my client the final seal of approval.

With SMP, I believe it’s always best to check in with clients to see how the treatment has evolved for them understanding natural wear and ensuring everything’s held well.

We believe in building darkness and density safely, step by step, to achieve natural results.

( sorry if the resolution is not great. For some reason Reddit don’t let up load high res images?? )
