Any FIFA with proper career mode? (tried 23 and it was garbage)
I was never too much into FIFA, the latest I bought was 23 and I did put a good 1-200 hours into ultimate team, before that maybe 15 and 10 for PS3 but never got into it too much. I just installed FIFA23 to play some career mode and it was horrible in so many aspects. I got injured first game and had to spam simming trainings for 210 days, but even that was annoying to do because fast forwarding works like ass and for some reason I couldn't auto select my previous trainings and had to do it by hand.
More importantly I hated the rating and objective system. It forced me to play for the objective rather than playing the game, like forcing passes for objective etc. Career events are all just x requirement, y reward too.
But overall the entire career mode felt sooo unpolished in every detail, as if it was given to the intern to just get it done in whatever condition to ship the game.
I felt insanely disappointed because the only comparison I have for career mode is NBA 2K and I considered that horrible and unpolished, until I tried FIFA23... I vaguely remember playing FIFA10 career mode and having fun doing it, so 23 being this ass caught me off guard.
Which FIFA do you consider the best for career mode when it comes to the details like proper rating system, sensible objectives, immersion, career events etc. I don't even care if the base gameplay is worse (in older games). Hell, I don't even care if it's not FIFA, it could be PES or whatever, if it's better.
