Bought my 2026 Tacoma TRD Sport ~3months ago (LOVE IT). After a week or so, I noticed a singular beeeep that would randomly chime in the cabin. Sometimes I’d go days without hearing it, other days I’d hear it multiple times. Did the usual, checked under seats, glove box, door compartments, etc…..

Well, today I sat and waited. With a flashlight, on my back, I found this attached via adhesive tab to the inside of the floor went. It’s one of those annoying noise makers, designed to drive people insane! Literally not visible without a flashlight and looking straight up at it from the floor.

Truck is never left unlocked and only my wife has ever been in it and this is 💯 not her doing.

Could always be a prank but honestly, I can’t see how or who in my orbit as this was so meticulously placed, and began almost immediately after purchase….. could this have been a dealer scam to get me back into the dealership for service? Anyone hear of such a thing?
