UK Insurance Providers?

Attending next year so have plenty of time on this one.

Next August there's a big TVR Gathering for the 80th anniversary of TVR at the ring and owners from all over have been invited by the German TVR car club to attend, there's already a decent sized crowd going just from the South West.

So, my question is, who else aside from Moris track day insurance offers good cover? Cover from Moris is basically 3 times that of what I pay for my yearly premium on my Chimaera and whilst my insurance covers track days it unfortunately and expectedly so won't cover the green hell.

So experienced UK ringers, here I am 🤷

Have been approached about buying an existing business, how to finance?

I'm a small ltd company, I've been approached by someone about buying their business, it has a lot of potential, but it is quite over priced given the numbers involved.

I don't have enough working capital in my current limited company to buy outright. I'd like to register it under a new limited, how would I be able to finance the purchase of this new business should they agree to my offer?

Spiez Chef shoes, anyone using them?

I'm finally at a point where I can't do my Birks anymore, they need replacing anyway but with the drop in quality and the feeling of sore feet at the end of a long day I'm looking for something different.

I've seen Spiez shoes quite a bit recently, they aren't the cheapest but if they're comfortable and last I don't mind.

Small Business Financing is the wild west with outrageous numbers involved

Have been looking non chalantly the last few weeks for some financing for some equipment for the business, I'm in no rush and saw a potential provider through my business bank, this is what they've come up with. Over £3k for arranging this 😭

After putting out a Facebook post about looking for potential premsises, somebody approached me back in mid March about a potential space I can use to open a cafe. I've agreed in principle to the monthly lease amount and a service charge, but things seem to be dragging on a bit and I'm having to chase due to him having a business partner involved.

The latest email response after everything, there is one paragraph that has irked me a bit...

"One question that has come up is for me to get an idea from you as to the amount of investment you are planning to put into the venture. I do understand that the time investment is almost impossible to quantify but an idea of actual cash outlay would be useful"

What I don't understand is that this "venture" is solely mine through my existing company, I'm not seeking help or investment or any form of other invovlement from any landlord, so I'm a bit confused as to why they would want this information which I'm not really willing to disclose.

He has already asked if he could show my business plan (which I regret showing him) to his Business partner which in all honesty with the other above question makes me wonder if they're just looking to try and set up this "venture" themselves by trying to extract as much information on my plans as possible.

I'm quite a cynical person, even more so having worked in hospitality for 25+ years I've seen the absolute worst of people, so if I'm being honest, I wouldn't put the above past anyone.
